Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 15, 2026

Diagix AI ("we", "our", "the app") is a mobile car-diagnostics assistant. We believe your vehicle and usage data should stay on your device. This policy explains what we do and don't collect.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not require an account. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, or vehicle identification. We do not sell or share personal data. We have no servers that store your diagnoses.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The following is stored locally on your phone and never transmitted to us:

Uninstalling the app deletes all of this.

3. AI Processing

Our AI chat runs entirely on your device using an on-device language model. Your questions, transcriptions, and the AI's answers never leave your phone. We do not receive, log, or train on them.

4. Voice Input (Speech-to-Text)

When you hold the microphone button, the app uses your device's built-in speech recognition (Apple's on iOS, Google's on Android). Depending on your OS settings, audio may be processed on-device or sent to the platform provider for transcription. We do not control this pipeline and never see the audio or transcript ourselves. Please review Apple's and Google's privacy policies if this matters to you.

5. Text-to-Speech

AI responses can be read aloud using your device's built-in text-to-speech engine. This is an OS feature, and text passed to it does not leave the device.

6. Purchases

If you buy Diagix AI Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat (revenuecat.com/privacy) to verify your subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous purchase identifier from the app stores — not your name, email, or payment details. We never see your credit card.

7. Advertising (Free Tier)

Free users see ads on the Diagnosis Result screen served by Google AdMob (policies.google.com/technologies/ads). AdMob may collect a device advertising identifier and basic device info to serve relevant ads. On iOS, you can opt out via Settings → Privacy → Tracking. On Android, via Settings → Google → Ads. Pro users see no ads and no ad SDKs make network calls.

8. Crash and Performance Data

We rely on the platform-default crash reporting provided by Apple (App Store Connect) and Google (Play Console). These reports are anonymous and contain no personal data. You can opt out in your device settings.

9. Children's Privacy

Diagix AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Your Rights

Because we don't collect personal data, there's nothing to request, delete, or export from our systems. To clear local data, uninstall the app or use the "Clear History" option in Settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, surface a notice in the app.
